This site collects nothing about you. The detail below explains exactly what that means, and what happens if you email us.

Have a lawyer read this before launch. It describes what the site actually does, accurately and in detail, but it is not legal advice. Delete this notice once it has been checked.

No cookies, no tracking, no third parties

This website sets no cookies and uses no local storage. It runs no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind, and it embeds nothing from other companies — no third-party fonts, no maps, no video players, no social widgets, no content delivery network. Loading a page here sends a request to no one but our own server.

Typefaces are served from our own server rather than linked from a font provider, specifically so that your IP address is not passed to a third party. This is also why the site shows no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare's German entity is Cloudflare Germany GmbH, Rosental 7, 80331 München.

As with any web server, delivering a page requires processing technical data: your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and the browser and operating system reported by your device. Cloudflare processes this on our behalf as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Our own legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not combine this data with any other source, and we do not use it to identify individuals.

Because Cloudflare is a US company, this involves a transfer of personal data to a third country. That transfer is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses as incorporated in Cloudflare's data processing addendum, and by Cloudflare's certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

If you email us

If you contact us by email we process the address you write from and whatever you choose to put in the message, for the purpose of answering you and any subsequent business relationship. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the contact relates to a contract or its initiation, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We keep correspondence for as long as it is needed for the matter it concerns and any statutory retention period that applies, and delete it afterwards. We do not pass it to anyone else except where a service provider is necessary to operate our email, or where the law requires it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to request access to your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to have its processing restricted, to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to the address above to exercise any of these.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For a company based in Munich this is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 27, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

Changes

If the site changes in a way that affects this notice — analytics, a contact form, an embedded scheduling tool, or a hosting feature that begins setting cookies — this page will be updated before the change goes live.
